Letaka Safaris in Birdwatching Magazine

News From HQ | 20 July 2012

Alan Davies and Ruth Miller from The Biggest Twitch have just had their article on Botswana and Letaka Safaris published in the August edition of UK based Birdwatching magazine. The timing of the publication couldn’t be better with the British Bird Fair just around the corner this article will help to build interest in Botswana as a birding destination.

Botswana has always been undervalued as a birding destination because we don’t have any bird species endemic to the country. What people tend to forget is that whilst we don’t have any endemic species, birding in Botswana takes the birdwatching traveler to some of the most marvelous tracts of wilderness on earth. A birding safari in Botswana is a true wilderness experience which is why we believe that our Livingstone Birding Trail Safari  is one of the best birding itineraries in Southern Africa. The safari combines the Okavango Delta (Moremi Game Reserve), Lake Ngami, the Okavango Panhandle, Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, Victoria Falls, Choma, the Chobe National Park, Makgadikgadi Pans (Sowa Pan) and Nata Bird Sanctuary. Because we cover such diverse habitat on this safari we have recorded over 410 species over the 17 day safari.

If you would like more information on this itinerary please contact our reservations desk or visit our new website www.birdingsafaris.com
